I’m an experienced and fully qualified diving instructor, and have spent over 500 hours underwater. Recently, I learned about Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a simple but very powerful technique for overcoming deep seated fears and phobias. I saw a great opportunity to help new and experienced divers to overcome aquaphobia in any form and enjoy this fascinating underwater world too.
I have completed over 800 dives from ranging from 3 to 70+ m. I have dived all over the world from the wrecks of Truk Lagoon to those of Scapa Flow, reefs from UK to Maldives and on to Palau (South Pacific). I’m also a keen underwater photographer.
I adore diving, and it is a privilege to help others feel at home underwater, so they can get full enjoyment of this fantastic world.
My qualifications include:
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner
- PADI IDC Staff Instructor
- BSAC OWI Instructor
- PADI TEC Trimix Instructor
Following a couple of difficult dives I lost my confidence in the water and consequently had a long break before diving again. When I did get back in the water I struggled to descend without feeling panicked and therefore had to abort the dive and return to dry land. Nora was very supportive and understanding of my situation and offered to show me some NLP techniques to help change how I thought about my past diving experiences. These techniques were helpful and enabled me to regain my confidence and feel ready to re-try diving. We revisited the open water training in the pool and then in the open water and I found I was able to enjoy diving once more." ...Liz
